- Initial Claims  unadjusted, totaled  1,151,015 in the week ending January 9, an increase of 231,335 (or 25.2 percent) from the previous week

- 4-Week Moving Average seasonally adjusted  834,250. Previous was  816,000

Total receiving regular state UI increased by 141,512 

Total receiving Pandemic UI decreased by  940,499 

Total receiving Emergency Pandemic UI decreased by 325,152

Total receiving any UI decreased by 744,511

Inflation remains tame as the pandemic has slowed the world economy.
