Initial Jobless Claims (week ended 10/23/2021)

- Initial Claims seasonally adjusted  281,000. Previous was 290,000

- Initial Claims unadjusted, totaled 245,482 in the week ending October 23, a decrease of 11,733 (or -4.6 percent) from the previous week

- 4-Week Moving Average seasonally adjusted  299,250. Previous was  320,000

Total receiving regular state UI decreased by 94,839 

Total receiving Pandemic UI decreased by  247,936

Total receiving Emergency Pandemic UI decreased by 187,188 

Total receiving any UI decreased by 448,386  

2,830,661 were receiving some UI benefit.  1 year previous there were 23,479,913 receiving UI.
